12/04/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Meemo came into the care center as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. He has been tense and fearful since arrival, tolerating only minimal handling and attempting to flee. During his behavior evaluation, Meemo retreated from interaction though he showed no aggressive behavior. Reaction to assessor: Meemo is at the back of his cage when approached. He cannot be coaxed forward. Reaction to cage door opening: remains at the back of the cage, body tense. Reaction to touch: Meemo presses himself against the back wall of the cage as the assessor reaches toward him. He tolerates gentle touch but does not relax, solicit, or approach. Placement determination: Experienced home without children Meemo tolerates minimal attention and petting but appears to be fearful and stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children
