Date: 09/11/15
Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral
When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral
Reaction to door cage opening: remains motionless
Reaction to touch: seems indifferent to my presence and touch
Try picking cat up: Mayonnaise is tolerant of this type of handling but tense.
Placement Determination: Experience
Mayonnaise was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment he was displaying timid behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor. Remains motionless as I started to get closer. I was able to pet him and interact with him in a limited way. I was also able to pick him up and although he was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that Mayonnaise go to a home with experienced cat parents.
