10/01/15 09:47 Basic Information: Max is a 5 year old altered male domestic shorthair. Max was given to owner as a gift. Owner surrenders Max due to living situation. Social Life and Personality: Max lived with adults and been around children ages 5 and up. Owner stated Max is relaxed, affectionate and respectful towards everyone in the household. Max behavior is unknown towards cats and dogs. Max is indoors only and activity level is to a medium. Owner describes Max as shy, friendly, assertive, affectionate and talkative. Behavior Issues: Max has never bitten or scratched anyone his behavior is good owner stated. He was given bath and nail trim at the vet. He enjoys be brushed and held. For a New Family to Know: Max is litter box trained and uses an uncovered litter box. He likes to play with toys such as balls and strings. He had a scratching post made out of rough rope. Max likes to follow owner around and be under the coffee table. He eats can food called Friskies. Intake Behavior: Upon intake Max was calm and relaxed. He attempt to flee but show no signs of aggression. He scanned negative for a microchip and allowed all handling.

Max was bought into the care cente due to his previous owner moving to a place that does not allow pets. Max lived with adults and been around children. The previous owner stated Max is relaxed, affectionate and respectful towards everyone in the household. Max behavior is unknown towards cats and dogs. Max is indoors only and activity level is to a medium. Max is described as shy, friendly, assertive, affectionate and talkative. Reaction to assessor: Max does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly When spoken quietly: Max comes to the front of cage, soliciting, rubbing against front Reaction to door cage opening: Max remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: Max solicits petting and attention. He is very affectionate. Try picking cat up: Max is tolerant of this type of handling Behavior Determination: Beginner At the time of the assessment Max was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Max is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
