08/27/15 14:55 Mari was surrendered by his owner at ACC today. Mari is a 2 yrs. old black and gray male tabby who has recently had surgery to be neutered. Mari was friendly allowing himself to be picked up and held and transferred into a new carrier with minimale effort. He was curious during the Intake process exploring his new environment. He allowed himself to be collared and photographed with no issues.

Reaction to assessor: Mari was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. He rubs his cheeks onto his litter box and slowly comes to the front when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Mari remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Mari head-butts, leans on the assessor’s hand, and begins to purr. He continues to rub his cheeks against the assessor to solicit attention when the assessor stops petting him. Reaction to being picked up: Mari remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner Mari interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
