I am a female black domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 3 YEARS old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 10/01/2015 from NY 10465, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY.

Maleficent appears to have cataracts. BEHAVIOR DURING INTAKE Maleficent was a little tense during intake and retreated to the back of kennel.

Get ready for the fall and snuggle up during chilly nights with her. Another volunteer writes: Maleficent is a magnificent creature! The very first time I met her, she let me brush her pretty black fur. I’ve never met a cat who was so immediately trusting. This gentle girl loves being petted. I can just tell she’ll be a cuddler.

Reaction to assessor: Maleficent was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Maleficent rubs her head onto the cage walls to solicit attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Maleficent remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Maleficent remains in place for petting and leans on the assessor’s hand to rub her cheeks. Reaction to being picked up: Maleficent remains calm and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner Maleficent interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
