06/29/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
Kipper is an 13yr old neutered white/brown tabby DSH feline who was given to the owner 13yrs ago by a friend and whom is being surrendered along with his siblings 9month old DMH Maggie (feline) A1042011 & 13yr old neutered male AMPBT/Amer. Bulldog Mix Tigga (canine) A1042008 due to the owner going through some personal problems and not being able to care for them at this moment. Kipper has an old injury or deformity to his upper lip that hasn’t been seen by a veterinarian. He currently has no other injuries or ailments at this time. Maggie hasn’t been to a veterinarian and has no known injuries or health issues. Kipper & Maggie are friendly/outgoing with strangers. Kipper grew up with the children in the home who are now in their late teens-early 20’s and was relaxed/affectionate and respectful of them. Maggie is a little more exuberant when it comes to play since she’s still a kitten, however is still relaxed/affectionate and respectful of everyone in the home. Kipper and Maggie both enjoy playing (Maggie- exuberantly), (Kipper- gently) and spending time with each other and with Tigga. During the car ride Kipper was relaxed and Maggie meowed/cried for a few minutes then was calm. Both Maggie and Kipper use their uncovered litter box with clumping litter within with no accidents outside the box. Kipper & Maggie don’t mind baths after a few minutes. Neither has had their nails trimmed. They both enjoy being held/picked up. Neither mind being placed into a carrier. Kipper & Maggie are described as friendly, affectionate, playful (more so Maggie), mellow & independent (more so Kipper). Kipper’s activity level is low-medium, Maggie’s is medium-high. They enjoy playing and lounging around the home. When the owner is home Maggie follows them around more, Kipper sometimes. Maggie enjoys ball, wand & string toys more than Kipper does but he’ll play with the ball ones. They are indoor cats. They sleep with different family members, on the sofa or with each other. Kipper & Maggie eat Purina wet & dry food. They have both a horizontal (carpet) scratching post and a vertical (cardboard). Intake Behavior: Kipper & Maggie allowed all handling including being positioned for pictures. They allowed us to scan (neg.), collar & take their pictures. They didn’t mind being picked up, held and placed into kennels. Kipper was more affectionate leaning into our hands to be petted.
