04/07/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Macho Man came to us as a stray on 4/4/15. Upon intake it was reported that Macho Man had soft body language and allowed all handling. Macho Man had neutral body language when initially meeting the assessor. He became a bit tense and alert when the kennel door was opened. He allowed the assessor to pet him lightly with a few stokes and then become a bit tense and retreated to the back of the kennel. Even though Fire became a bit uncomfortable he did not show any signs of aggression towards the assessor. The behavior department believes that Macho Man can go to an experienced home with. Reaction to assessor: Does not come to front but remains neutral (2) When spoken to quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral (2) Reaction to cage door opening: Becomes alert, and a bit tense (3) Reaction to touch: Accepts the first few strokes with slightly tense body language, before retreating to the back of the cage. (3) Reaction to being picked up: Not attempted during assessment.
