LUNCHABLE – A1054295
Safe 10-29-2015 Manhattan
SAFE 10/29/15 LUNCHABLE is an adorable 4 month kitten that has been slowly coming out of his shell. A volunteer has sent us a few new photos of LUNCHABLE. and she said at first he was hugging the back wall for a while but like any baby he enjoys his toys so came out to play, even scurrying under the bedding to retrieve his jingle ball. He’s soooo soft and super easy to handle, just scared. Sadly Lunchable’s two littermates didn’t make it when they ended up on the kill list. We definitely want to see a different outcome for LUNCHABLE. Please consider making this black little panther part of your family TODAY!!

Lunchable is a delicious little chap and unlike his junk food namesake he’s made of sugar and spice and all things nice! With an endearing combination of coy shyness, goofy playfulness and easy-to-handle kitten snuggliness, Lunchie will make a soft and wonderful pet for the lucky family who takes him home. Having never known the indoor life he’s quite timid at first and stays at the back of his den, offering me his best contented squinty eyes as I talk to him but never venturing any closer. I grab a roly-poly cat toy and place it on the outside ledge…Lunchie sees and perks up his posture…I knock it around a bit to set things in motion…Lunchie slowly creeps forward…one more push and…BOOP! Out pops a curious paw and the game is on! Before long he’s forgotten his fears and is chasing a jingle ball around on the lower level, even burrowing his way under the bed to reach it–too funny! Lunchie is still a bit hand-shy (though I can scruff his neck or pick his tiny body up with no problems) so we just stick to gentle head caresses for now. What a treat it is to massage that silky soft fur, almost like petting a cloud! He may still be a baby but Lunchie is already a survivor who’s beaten the odds to make his healthy, happy debut at the Manhattan Care Center. Black cats (especially those who hide at the back of their den!) can be overlooked in a crowd but this tiny trouper deserves to be noticed. Surrounded by the love and laughter of a real home, Lunchable is going to shine like a star. Will you be the one to give him his ‘lucky break’?
