09/15/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
09/15/15 16:59 BASIC INFO Salem and Luna are possibly sisters. They were found together outside 1 year ago. Their finder cared for them and their owner adopted them from her when they about 3 months old. She had to surrender them due to personal problems. SOCIALIZATION Luna is shy with new people for a while. She’s relaxed, affectionate, and tolerant with children. She plays gently-exuberantly with adults and children. Salem and Luna were relaxed, affectionate, tolerant, and played exuberantly together. A small dog regularly visits. At first, Luna hid and avoided him. Now, she’s respectful of him and relaxed when he comes over. She’s never bit or scratched any people or animals. BEHAVIOR Luna has no known behavior issues. She cried in the car. She doesn’t mind when someone brushes her or wakes her up. She’s nervous when put into a carrier. She struggles when picked up and held. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Luna’s owner describes her as friendly, affectionate, playful, mellow, shy, talkative, and medium energy. She follows her family everywhere, sits in their laps, and loves to play. She likes balls, string, wand toys, stuffed toys, and catnip toys. She lived inside, slept on chairs/couches, ate Purina dry indoor food, and got moist cat treats. She’s littertrained and uses her uncovered litterbox with clumping litter without having accidents. She had a vertical carpet/cardboard scratching post that she didn’t use. She was allowed to scratch the couch. INTAKE Luna was tense with wide eyes and looked around during handling-scan (-), collar, petting, pictures, picking up, putting into kennel. She sometimes tried to walk off the table, but allowed me to hold her in place. She was easy to handle and didn’t resist/retreat/vocalize.
