***SAFE 09/27/15*** LULU IS THE SAD VICTIM OF HER FORMER OWNERS EVICTION! The owner describes Lulu as friendly, affectionate, independent, playful, and shy at times with strangers. She has a high activity level. Her favorite thing about LuLu is “Everything. She is amazing.” She follows the owner around and sleeps with her in the bed. She has been mostly kept indoors.’ So say LULU’S intake notes. LULU also alerted her owners husband when her owner was going to have seizures so in a sense, LULU was a therapy cat. Sadly, even though she was amazingly sweet during her assessment, this gentle and kind girl is in grave danger tonight. She is on the at risk list and deserately needs rescue and pulling….get her out of there, this lovely tangerine and vanilla therapy cat who will die without you-and she sure doesnt’ deserve that!!!! SAVE LULU NOW!!!

09/17/15 13:49 Lulu is an approximately 6 yeard old DSH. She was adopted from MACC. The owner has not taken her to the vet and she has no known health issues. Socialization Around strangers, Lulu is very shy and will hide. She sometimes climbs very high and watches from above. She has been around children and she plays exuberanlty with them. She plays gently with adults. She has been around other cats but she did not get along with them. She has not been around dogs. She has not bitten anyone or any other animal. Behavior Lulu allows to be bathed. She loves baths and gets one once a month. She allows nail trimming and loves to brushed. She allows to be carried and loves being held. For a new family to know The owner describes Lulu as friendly, affectionate, independent, playful, and shy at times with strangers. She has a high activity level. Her favorite thing about LuLu is “Everything. She is amazing.” She follows the owner around and sleeps with her in the bed. She has been mostly kept indoors. The owner also suffers from seizures and the owner said that she is very attached to LuLu because shes always there for her. She recalled an incident, in which she fell from a seizure and as she layed on the floor helpless, Lulu stood on her back and meowed very loudly so her husband could hear. The husband came in and called emergency. Lulu was being fed meow mix and used a uncovered litter box with crystalized litter. Behavior during intake Lulu is very friendly and allowed all handling-scanning(-), collaring and photographs.

As per the previous owner, Lulu is shy and will hide around strangers. She will sometimes climb to very high places and watch from above. She plays exuberantly with children and plays gently with adults. She did not get along with the cats she has been with, but has never bitten anyone or another animal. She allows the owner to bathe her, trim her nails, and brush her coat. She loves being held. The owner describes Lulu as friendly, affectionate, independent, playful, and shy at times with strangers. Reaction to assessor: Lulu was calm, relaxed, and friendly by the front. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lulu rubs onto the cage door to solicit attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Lulu remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Lulu head-butts, begins to purr, and rubs on the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Lulu remains soft and allows handling. Behavior Determination: Beginner Lulu interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
