09/14/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lucy was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She was calm and well behaved throughout the intake process, but was tense during her initial medical exam. She allowed handling, but may try to flee due to fear. Reaction to Assessor: Lucy was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lucy looks at the assessor, and then looks away. Reaction to cage door opening: Lucy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Lucy remains in place for petting and seems indifferent to touch. Reaction to being picked up: Lucy remains calm and allows handling. Placement Determination: Experience Lucy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
