LUCY – A1053201
Safe 10-29-2015 Manhattan Rescue: Zani's Furry Friends Please honor your pledges: http://zanisfurryfriends.org/
SAFE 10/29/15 A volunteer writes: Lucy is just the sweetest, prettiest thing east of the Hudson. She has lovely blue eyes that are dreamy. Little Lucy loves affection and will sit at your side all day while you pet her. A little affectionate soul who loves company and would make a great companion. Offer this sweet thing a chance at a happy home. Come and whisk her away today.
Another volunteer writes: Lucy’s looking for the perfect bed for her naps, may we enlist your help in finding it? We’ve searched the shelter high and low looking for that just-right kitty bed, and little Lucy has graciously tried them all but hasn’t found the right match just yet. Therefore, you may find her sleeping in her litter box, but don’t let this dissuade you from introducing yourself. She might do some lazy stretches before coming right out to sit on your lap, which I think will turn out to be the best place for this sweet, gentle lap cat after all.

BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Lucy looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor.
Reaction to door opening: Lucy remains lying down on her cage bedding, alert with relaxed face.
Reaction to touch: Lucy accepts the stroke, but becomes agitated with the touch then attempts to swat and nip at the assessor’s hand.
Placement determination: Experience / no child
Lucy tolerates attention and petting but may be stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
