LOLO – A1043246
7-11-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 07/11/15*** “PLAYFUL, FRIENDLY, AND AFFECTIONATE” TABBY KITTEN, DUMPED DUE TO ALLERGIES, IS PERFECTLY HEALTHY, BUT WILL NOW DIE DUE TO HIS FEAR – PLEASE GRANT LOLO A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Exquisitely handsome one-year-old gray tabby and black kitten LOLO finds himself BETRAYED by his old owner, who dumped this darling laddie into the kill-happy ACC due to ALLERGIES. At home, Lolo was PURR-fect: “Lolo has been around children ages 5 to 16. Lolo is an indoor cat with a low activity level. Lolo’s previous ower describes him as playful, friendly, and affectionate. Lolo likes to play with balls and string and has a vertical scratching post. At home Lolo enjoys being in the same room as you and plays gently with you. Lolo sleeps in his own cat bed.” He also has great litter box manners! So what’s not to love? Sadly, this poor kitten is TERRIFIED in the scary shelter, so he was PUNISHED with New Hope Only and fast-tracked to the noon kill list for tomorrow, despite the fact that Lolo is PERFECTLY HEALTHY! Please know that Lolo will revert back to his usual lovebug kitten antics as soon as he escapes the ACC hellhole. Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt betrayed kitten LOLO from the approved New Hope rescue groups! If you can’t save LOLO yourself, please SHARE his sad story and PLEDGE for his rescue!

07/10/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lolo lived previously with children ranging from 5 to 16 years old. He is described as “playful, friendly, and affectionate,” and noted to be calm and gentle at home. Lolo was nervous but tolerant at intake, but did not allow any handling during his initial medical exam. He does not appear to be acclimating well to the care center or to his caretakers, and he is still not allowing handling. Reaction to assessor: Lolo is resting in his carrier inside his cage. When spoken to softly, Lolo hisses at the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening/reaction to touch: Due to the distance-increasing behavior given in response to the assessor’s approach in combination with other recent behaviors, the evaluation was ended at this point. Placement determination: New Hope Only While Lolo’s previous owner reports social behavior, he has avoided interaction since he came into the care center. We recommend placement with a New Hope partner who can re-evaluate Lolo’s behavior in a stable home environment.
