This sweet senior had lived with adults and teens and is described as “independent and affectionate”. And has charmed the assessor’s into giving her an AVERAGE rating! This girl’s golden years should be peaceful, not stressful! PLEASE, offer to FOSTER or ADOPT LIZZY and give her the rest of her life BACK!

SOCIAL LIFE & PERSONALITY Lizzy is described as an independent and affectionate. She lived in a household with adults and teenagers. She allowed petting but would generally stay to herself. She was the only pet in the home. She is an indoor only cat. BEHAVIOR Lizzy was accustomed to grooming herself. She allows petting but doesn’t like being held. She isn’t accustomed to being brushed or having her nails trimmed. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Lizzy enjoys playing with rubber balls and uses the bathroom door as a scratching pad. She is easily frightened by loud sounds and will run and hide when she is afraid. She is accustomed to eating fish or seafood flavored Friskies dry cat food. Her owner stated she wouldn’t eat any other flavor. She sleeps in the bathroom at night. DURING INTAKE Lizzy remained in the rear of her carrier. She attempted to hide when she was approached. She was collared, scanned for a microchip (negative) and photographed without incident.

She isn’t accustomed to being brushed or having her nails trimmed. Reaction to assessor: Lizzy does not come to the front, but remains neutral. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lizzy does not come to the front, but remains neutral and looks around. Reaction to cage door opening: Lizzy remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: LIzzy solicits petting and attention – arching into the stroke. Reaction to being picked up: Lizzy calmly jumps back into the cage. Behavior Determination: Average Lizzy interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is suitable for new or experienced pet parents.
