(1) Reaction to touch: Solicits petting and attention, rubbing, purring. (1) Reaction to toy or novel object: Interested in the object, more interested in petting and affection. (1) Try picking cat up: Tolerant of this type of handling. Notes: Little Rock came into the shelter as a stray, so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies in a home environment. At the time of the assessment, he was displaying friendly behavior. He approached and interacted with the assessor and tolerated all handling. Little Rock is exhibiting behavior suited for beginning or experienced cat parents.
