She has been surrendered due to housing issues but what a shame they didn’t remember they had a “kitten issue!” LITTLE BIT had been around children 4,5 and 12 and was tolerant but didn’t interact with them. She did live with her doggie friend and was very affectionate so if your a dog owner and always wanted a kitten,LITTLE BIT is the one for you! 07/08/15 12:51 Basic Info: Little Bit is a 4 month old female cat who has no prior injuries or medical problems. She was surrendered to the shelter because her owner is having housing issues and can no longer keep her. Social Life and Personality: According to owner she has been around children ages 4, 5, and 12 and was respectful and tolerant of them but she did not play much but allowed handling and petting. She has not been around other cats so her behaviors are unknown but she did live with 1 dog (A1043157 Max) and was affectionate and tolerant of him. She is litter box trained and kept indoors only. She has a high level of energy and was described as playful, confident, friendly, and assertive. Behavior: She has not bitten or scratched anyone or any animal before. She enjoyed when her owner gave her a bath and brushed her coat but she never had her nails trimmed so her behaviors are unknown. She enjoys being picked up and held. New Family Info: She is sued to pellet litter inside an uncovered box. She will play with balls and will scratch on furniture but was not given a scratching post to use as an alternative. She was fed both wet and dry food. Intake Behavior: During intake Little Bit approached extended hand and sniffed it. Allowed all handling without aggression and when scanned for a microchip was negative. When touched had soft, relaxed body and when placed into carrier sat at front and would nuzzle door. When given food would eat.

Reaction to assessor: Little Bit was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. When softly spoken to, she chirps, rolls onto her back, and rubs her cheek on her blanket. Reaction to cage door opening: Little Bit remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Little Bit head-butts, leans on the assessor’s hand, and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Little Bit remains soft and allows handling. As per previous owner, Little Bit is respectful and tolerant of children, allowed petting and handling, but wasn’t very playful. She has not been around other cats, but she did live with a dog and was affectionate and tolerant of him. She has a high level of energy and was described as playful, confident, friendly, and assertive. Behavior Determination: Beginner Little Bit interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
