LIPPY – A1040751
6-28-2015 Manhattan
***SAFE 06/28/15*** LIPPY IS A SCARED LITTLE 12 WEEK OLD KITTEN WHO WILL DIE FOR HER FEAR!! LIPPY was brought into the shelter by someone who said she was fearful and tries to hide. So with that, the ACC slapped this little boy with an EXPNOCHILD rating and warehoused him til they had an excuse to euth list him. LIPPY of course is scared- he is a baby and being trapped and dumped in a scary place is not going to make him purr. LIPPY just needs time to decompress and relax and we know that once he is adopted into a loving home and feels safe and secure, he WILL be a purring kitten. GIVE LIPPY A DEATH ROW PARDON TONIGHT AND THE CHANCE TO USE ALL HIS 9 LIVES!! CONTACT A RESCUE TO PULL HIM TO SAFETY.

06/24/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Lippy crouches down and hisses. When softly spoken to, he focuses on the assessor and lip licks. Reaction to cage door opening: Lippy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Lippy hisses and tries to avoid touch by lowering his entire body. He flinches when touched, but remains stiff and immobile with his ears bent slightly sideways. He displayed no further reaction. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Lippy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up in his new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
