LIONESS – A1047598
8-19-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 08/19/15*** When an animal is caught and trapped, one would have an inkling to know the animal IS NOT going to be happy! This is the case for puddin’ -faced, 3 year old LIONESS. Hence the name this cat is MALE. Now throw in being FIV + and you’re going to have a scared and defensive kitty on your hands! While the FIV+ may not sound good, it’s not as bad as most make it out to be. FIV + kitties can have a long, productive life. They can also be around non-FIV+ kitties. There’s a stigma that doesn’t need to be associated with FIV and if you give LIONESS a chance you can see for yourself! But his frightened nature has made him a RESCUE ONLY kitty so you need to contact a NEW HOPE RESCUE NOW and rescue LIONESS. The reward is in the caring so show LIONESS he’s still loveable ENOUGH to LIVE!

08/15/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lioness came to us as a stray on 8/12/15. He can be seen hiding at the back of his kennel when approached. He attempted to hide from the assessor during the majority of the test. When attempting to pet Lioness softly he growled, and swat at the assessor. The behavior department believes that Lioness would do best if placed with a rescue. Reaction to assessor: continues to hide (was hiding when you approached cage) (3) When spoken to quietly: continues to hide (3) Reaction to cage door opening: becomes stiff, alert, tail flicks (3) Reaction to touch: moves away from you to avoid being touched and swats at you (4)
