LILY – A1054140
Gone 10-12-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 10/12/15***LONELY LILY BETRAYED FAMILY PET NEEDS NEW FRIEND! Sad sigh! Lily is a four year old beautiful white and brown tabby who has been tossed around more often than a football in the past several months. Lily was a faithful feline friend to a family for a while when the wife became allergic. So the husband gave Lily to a friend who kept her for three months before deciding to dump her at the shelter. The excuse? His parents are returning to the apartment he lives in and he is afraid they will mind the shedding and set her loose on the street. Buy a furminator, dude and give this poor girl a break! Lily was described as “friendly, outgoing,” a little afraid of kids but “gentle with adults” and loves to sit in laps. She is a healthy, former housepet petrified at the shelter and slapped with a NH rating which means we will have to work a little harder to save this great girl’s life. But isn’t it worth it? Don’t you think Lily has been let down by people too often and deserves a happy future? Please open up your heart and home to lonely Lily by contacting a rescue and offering to foster or adopt. Make the call for her NOW!

10/08/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/08/15 15:20 Basic Information Lily A1054140 is an approximately 3-4 year old domestic short hair white & brown tabby cat. The owner received Lily from a friend because the friends wife is now allergic to her. He has had Lily for about 3 months now. He thinks Lily has been spayed but is unsure. Lily has not been declawed and has normal feet. The owner lives in an apartment that belongs to his parents. His parents will be coming back to live at the apartment and he is not sure when they will leave. He knows his family will not tolerate the cat since it sheds a lot. He is afraid that one day he will come back from work and one of his family will have put the cat out on the street. Socialization When the owner first took Lily home, she hid under the bed most of her first day and became more confident as she became more aware of her surroundings. Now, the owner describes Lily as being a friendly/outgoing cat. The owner is unsure about Lily’s life with her previous owners’, but under his care, Lily has only been around a child once. This child was afraid of Lily and the cat avoided the child. Lily mostly plays gentle with adults and likes to sit in the lap but will play rough if invited to do so. Lily has solely an indoor cat and has not lived with other cats or dogs and has never bitten anyone. She has only lightly bitten (mouthy) during rough play. Behavior The owner described Lily as not having any behavior problems. Lily sat quietly in her carrier during the car ride when he first received her and bringing her here today. Owner stated Lily was easy to place inside the carrier. Lily regularly uses her litter box and only had an accident one time. “This particular time, Lily accidentally got locked inside a bedroom for a number of hours and used the bathroom on the floor since she didn’t have access to her litter box. Lily is afraid of getting baths and tries to jump out of the tub. The owner successfully bathes Lily with a wet towel. Lily is relaxed during nail trims and isn’t bothered when she is brushed lightly but will hiss if she is brushed too roughly. For a new family to know The owner described Lily as being friendly, affectionate, playful, and mellow. Lily’s activity level is usually medium. Lily loves to sleep in bed with her owner. Her favorite toy is a laser pointer. Lily has only lived in doors, is litter box trained (uncovered litter box), and eats both wet and dry cat food (brand Mex cat food).
