***SAFE 07/17/15*** SECOND CHANCE FOR LOVELY LILLY!! HEADBUTTING, PURRING “FRIENDLY, SOCIAL” KITTEN, APPARENTLY STARVING, HAS A NEAR-PERFECT BEHAVIOR RATING BUT THE ACC WILL KILL HER ANYWAY – PLEASE GRANT LILY A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Adorable brown tabby and white kitten LILY, just 10 months of age, was dumped into the ACC’s Death Camp for Kitties as a starving STRAY, based on her intake notes: “The kitten was very motivated by food and appeared to be starving. She appeared to be very friendly and active. I was able to pet her and stroke her.”
Sadly, LILLY was pregnant and miscarried her kittens at the shelter due to being sick from the shelter cold. LILLY’S cold is curable but what the ACC has in store tomorrow is not. DON’T LET LILLY LOSE HER LIFE AS WELL AS HER KITTENS… Please start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt adorable kitten lovebug LILY! If you can’t save LILY yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!

07/11/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lilly came into the care center as a friendly stray, having scratched a finder (superficial scratch to the calf). She was intolerant of handling during her initial medical examination, but has been social and interactive since being placed in a holding room. Reaction to assessor: Lilly is resting in her cage, body soft. Reaction to caage door opening: Remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Observations over the courses of several days: Stretches, closes eyes when pet & remains soft & relaxed. Leaning head in when pet, purring. Soft & friendly, head-butts lightly & starts to purr. Highly social cat. Purrs, soft friendly leaning in and rubbing on hand when pet. Placement determination: Average Lilly has shown some distance-increasing behaviors when stressed, and does have a scratch history, but in the care center she has been highly social, interactive, and engaged with her caretakers. We feel that she is appropriate for new or experienced adopters.
