Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to Assessor: Lila becomes stiff and alert upon approach. She lies low against the ground and focuses on the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Lila remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Lila hisses, but remains immobile on the ground as the assessor pets her on her head and back. Her ears bend flat against her head and she continues to hiss, but she doesn’t display any further reaction. As per previous owner, Lila has not been socialized with children or dogs. However, around cats she is respectful, tolerant, and relaxed. She plays gently and is a respectful manner. Lila has been described as playful, shy, friendly, aloof, talkative, and affectionate with a low activity level. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Lila tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
