She is ataxic – which means she may have some neurological issues that should be checked out by a competent vet. However, this hasn’t kept this sweet girl from rocking a super BEGINNER rating from the assessor because she was soliciting attention and petting. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Lil Cricket is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, seeking attention Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention, playful, purrs Try picking cat up: Lil Cricket allows all handling Placement Determination: Beginner
