*** SAFE 11/11/15 *** Its only fitting that LIGHTHOUSE be the name of this 3 year old cutie. Lighthouses have guided lost ships to safety and this guy needs the same thing to happen to him! He’s very fearful in the shelter and so has been given a RESCUE ONLY rating! He needs someone to contact a NEW HOPE RESCUE NOW and offer to FOSTER or ADOPT him! Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Lighthouse looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Lighthouse remains hiding in the cat den, alert with pupils dilated. Reaction to touch: Lighthouse does not allow the stroke, hisses and growls at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Lighthouse is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
