LICORICE – A1049527
Gone 9-1-2015 Manhattan
***GONE 09/01/15***LICORICE is a young probably pregnant mommy cat who was meowing in someone’s backyard and they brought her into the shelter. They say she’s probably pregnant because she has a very big belly, but they can’t say for sure! LICORICE is afraid and she tolerates attention so she would be good in an experienced cat home with no children. This young cat mom is not even out of kittenhood herself and she has sweet babies in her belly. Won’t you give LICORICE and her growing cat family a chance to live? Don’t let this sweet new mommy die today!!! Please contact a NEW HOPE rescue and offer to foster LICORICE today!!

08/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Licorice was lying flat against the ground upon approach. She remains calm and relaxed, but focuses on the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Licorice remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Licorice tries to avoid touch and slowly moves away. She remains immobile when pet, but she starts to breathe rapidly, her ears bend sideways, and she lip licks throughout the interaction. Behavior Determination: Experience No Child Licorice tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. She may need time to warm up to her new home. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
