***SAFE 10/27/15 *** LEXINGTON & EVANSTON WERE FOUND OUTSIDE IN A NEIGHBORHOOD WITH MANY CATS….They are both 5 months old and they both have AVERAGE ratings…..LEXINGTON & EVANSTON need a little cajoling and coaxing to help them warm up but once they do they’re golden!! CAN YOU GIVE A TEMPORARY OR PURRMANENT HOME TO ONE OR BOTH OF THESE TWO CUTIES?? THEY ARE DEPENDING ON YOU TONIGHT…..They have the shelter cold but that is curable. Their fate tomorrow if no one steps up for them is not….PLEASE OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT NOW!!

I am a female gray tabby domestic sh mix. The shelter thinks I am about 5 MONTHS old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 10/10/2015 from NY 11103, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-035452.

10/24/2015 Exam Type VACCINATE – Medical Rating is 3 C – MAJOR CONDITIONS , Behavior Rating is AVERAGE, Weight 4.4 LBS.

10/10/15 11:31 Lexington is a 5 month old blue tabby. That was found by a client around his apartment building. During intake Lexington was nervous with the new surroundings and attempted to flee.

10/16/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – AVERAGE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lexington behavior has shown improvement in the care center. Reaction to assessor: Lexington does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed. When spoken quietly: Lexington does not come to front but looks at you, calm, relaxed. Reaction to door cage opening: Lexington remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Lexington allows petting and attention. Try picking cat up: Lexington is tolerant of this type of handling. Behavior Determination: Average At the time of the assessment Lexington was displaying calm behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Lexington is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents. ————————————————————————————————————————————————– Reaction to assessor: Lextington watches the assessor nervously When spoken quietly: Lexington retreats and wiggles into her blanket. She peeks at the assessor from inside the folds of the blanket. Reaction to door cage opening: Lextington continues to watch assessor from in her blanket. Reaction to touch: Lextington allows petting and attention. Try picking cat up: Lextington is tolerant of this type of handling but tense. Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Lexington was displaying fearful behavior; does not seek attention from the assessor. Retreats as I softly spoke to her. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a limited way. I was also able to pick her up and although she was tense no fractious behavior was display. We recommend that Lexington goes to a home with experienced cat parents.
