***SAFE 06/27/15***PURRFECTLY HEALTHY PAIR OF ADORABLE KITTENS NEED YOU! Levine and Taylor (sounds like a retail clothing store) are a precious pair of 14 week old kittens who were dumped at the shelter by someone from the Bronx who claims there are too may stray cats in the neighborhood. So instead of offering to do some TNR of adult kitties, the finder of these little angels decided to dump this delightful little due at the kill shelter. Of course, they are petrified. Who can blame them? But they do tolerate petting and handling. There is plenty of time for Levine and Taylor to become even more comfy with people. They deserve the chance to grow up in a loving environment. Don’t you agree? If so, please be THE SOMEBODY in “somebody do something” and reserve them online. Or contact a NH rescue for help with transportation. If you live in the NYC area and can only offer temp safe haven, please let a rescue know. Fostering saves lives and there are no lives more deserving of saving than Levine and Taylor. So what are you waiting for?

06/24/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Levine looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Levine remains crouched down on her cage bedding, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Levine hisses at the assessor’s hand and slowly retreats away to the back of the cage. However, she accepts the stroke and stiffens up in place with pupils fully dilated. Placement determination: Experience / no child Levine tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.

GROUP BEHAVIOR EVALUATION
