08/17/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Leopold does not come to the front, but remains neutral inside his cage. He lowers his head, his ears tilt sideways, and his eyes wander when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Leopold becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Leopold hisses and does not allow touch; he charges and swats during attempt and he starts to growl. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Leopold is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. He has tried to swat and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
