LEO – A1032049 – BROOKLYN CENTER
4-7-2015
Leo was found walking the streets of Brooklyn. He has a large mass on the left side of his face and came in emaciated and dehydrated. Since being in the care center, he has had a ravenous appetite, finishing each meal he has been given. He will need further veterinary care to explore the mass on his face/jaw. The vet tried to clean the area around the mass, but it started oozing when touched with a q-tip. He did not like being poked during his exam, so the vet had to sedate him to perform her exam, but he has been friendly since waking up. He allows petting and began purring last time I interacted with him. All of the medical information we have so far is below. Please contact Brooklyn New Hope if you can help Leo get out of here and start feeling better!

04/06/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Leo’s behavior assessment was limited due to his medical condition; he came displaying fractious behavior, but after a couple of days here it seems that he has acclimated and is doing better. He does not approach the front of the kennel or solicits attention but appreciated when receiving it. Allows petting and there was no signs of fractious behavior display. Noted that I stay away from the injured parts of his body and did not attempt to pick him up, but he remained soft and relaxed throughout the evaluation. However given the fact that he has shown that is going to take him some time to acclimate to new environments we recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
