LEGUIZAMO – A1040997
I am an unaltered female, black Domestic Shorthair mix.
The shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 6 months old.
I weigh 4 pounds.
I was found in NY 11233.
I have been at the shelter since Jun 21, 2015.
This cat was vocal during intake. He was mild hard body at first then came out of the carrier and allowed me to pet the top of his head. He began to pur and became soft body. He allowed for collaring and a photo with no issue.

Notes: Leguizamo was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying friendly behavior, comes to the front of the kennel, interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Leguizamo is displaying behavior appropriate for a beginner cat owner.
Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly
When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, soliciting, rubbing against front
Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed
Reaction to touch: solicits petting and attention
Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling
Placement Determination: Beginner
