***GONE 07/01/15*** SCARED YOUNG TABBY BOY IS FeLV+, SO THE ACC WROTE HIM OFF AS NOT WORTH SAVING – PLEASE GRANT LAS VEGAS A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Two-year-old gray tabby and white boy LAS VEGAS finds himself stuffed into the kill-happy ACC as a STRAY who tested positive for FeLV. This poor laddie is utterly TERRIFIED in the scary shelter setting, so the ACC PUNISHED him with New Hope Only and fast-tracked to the kill list for tomorrow. Please know that most cats who become infected with FeLV are able to conquer the virus and recover. Their bodies mount an immune attack against the virus, producing antibodies that cure them or keep the virus in check. But the ACC has WRITTEN HIM OFF as NOT WORTH SAVING. Let’s turn things around for this sad, scared young tabby boy, who will surely gentle down as soon as he escapes the ACC hellhole. Please start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt betrayed tabby boy LAS VEGAS from the approved New Hope rescue groups! If you can’t save LAS VEGAS yourself, please SHARE his sad story and PLEDGE for his rescue!

06/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Las Vegas was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Las Vegas seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and may require further investigation before placement in a home. He is extremely fearful and currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: hisses, growls at me When spoken quietly: hisses, growls at me Reaction to door cage opening: become alert, continues to hiss Reaction to touch: hisses, growls Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of behavior, hisses swat. Placement Determination: NewHope
