09/18/15 18:27 Leslie is a brown female tabby who was brought into ACC today as a stray cat. Leslie appears healthy but will undergo a full physical health exam. She was calm and aloof throughout the Intake process. She allowed herself to be transferred into a new carrier with minimal effort. She also allowed herself to be collared but did not allow herself to be taken out of he carrier as she struggled when an attempt was made to remove her from her carrier. She did allow herself to be photographed inside of her carrier. She was nervous breathing rapidly and retreating further into her carrier.

Larry was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to his behavior in his previous home. During intake he allowed himself to be collared but did not allow to be taken out of his carrier. Reaction to assessor: Larry lied motionless while making eye contact with the assessor. Reaction when softly spoken to: Larry licked his lips and stress meowed. Reaction to cage door opening: Larry remained motionless. Reaction to touch: Larry opens up and comes forward seeking attention. He started to head butt the assessor’s hand. Reaction to being picked up: Larry was soft and relaxed when held. Behavior Determination: Average Larry interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
