Gone 10-17-2015 Manhattan
*** GONE 10/17/15 *** ANOTHER CHANCE FOR LARCH. PLEASE MAKE IT COUNT!! Just when we thought LARCH was safe it sadly came to our attention that her rescue hold fell through due to her testing FIV POSITIVE. LOVELY LARCH IS A FEARFUL TWO YEAR OLD…Her friend that she was trapped with, ALDER, (and sadly didn’t make it). LARCH clearly has been on her own for awhile but it doesn’t mean that she needs to stay that way…A Cat Whisperer with TLC and Patience can help this lady blossom….PLEASE DON’T PASS BY LARCH TONIGHT…OFFER TO FOSTER OR ADOPT AND SAVE HER LIFE!!

10/07/2015 PET PROFILE MEMO
10/07/15 15:55 Alder A1054066 and Larch A1054067 were living among other stray cats. Their finder trapped them in his yard and brought them to ACC. Larch was tense with wide eyes and dilated pupils in her trap. We transferred her from her trap to a net. We scanned her in the net (-). We transferred her directly to a kennel, and she sat up in the back while we photographed her. She didn’t hiss or vocalize at all or attempt to strike, bite, etc.

10/10/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Larch looks tense in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Larch remains hiding in his cat den, alert with pupils fully dilated. Reaction to touch: Larch accepts the stroke, but flinches on the touch and stiffens up in place. Placement determination: Eperience / no child Larch tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
