***GONE 11/29/15***YOU’LL GO GAGA OVER LADY GAGA—BE THIS TERRIFIC YOUNG TUX’S HERO!!! A staff member writes, “Looking for a little bit of music in your life? Then Lady Gaga is the kitten for you! As fun and free spirited as her namesake, this fantastic feline sits politely in her cat house waiting for someone to notice her. She leans into pats and loves being told how pretty she is. Past that rambunctious young kitten stage, Lady Gaga came in with a sister as a stray and would do very well in a home where the family understands the time and patience required to bring this beautiful kitten out of her shell and to the edge of glory.” This precious pet was a nine month old stray surrender although she’s got a sweet purrsonality, tolerating most petting and handling. She was found outside of a building with her feline friend and kept by her finder for a few days before being dumped at the kill happy shelter. Can you open up your heart and home to this great little girl? Please reserve Lady Gaga online or let a rescue know if you can help. Transportation is available by contacting one of our NH partners. This great gal will show you her pretty little poker face!!! Go ga-ga over Lady Gaga—make the call for this terrific young tux NOW!!!

11/17/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPERIENCE
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Lady Gaga was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. The finder found her with another cat and kept her in their home for three days. They said Lady Gaga was the shyer one of the two, and often hides under objects. She was a bit nervous upon intake and her ears pushed back while the counselors were handling her, but she was easy to handle during her initial medical exam. The enrichment facilitator has reported that she seems unsure. She hisses, but would rub against their hand and leans into pets, but would hiss again. Reaction to assessor: Lady Gaga was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Lady Gaga looks at the assessor with relaxed eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Lady Gaga becomes stiff and alert. Reaction to touch: Lady Gaga lowers her head, but allows petting. She hisses when pet on her lower back, but seems to appreciate petting on her head; leaning onto hand and purring. When pet on her lower back again, she hisses and tucks her tail close to her body. Behavior Determination: Experience Lady Gaga tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
