***SAFE 06/08/15*** RARE SECOND CHANCE FOR LADY – PLEASE MAKE IT COUNT!!! SENIOR BEAUTY WAS DUMPED DUE TO THE NEW FAMILY CAT – PLEASE GRANT LADY A DEATH ROW PARDON!!! Lovely LADY needs some LUCK and some LOVE! This glossy-furred black velvet 10-year-old senior was BETRAYED by her old owner, who cast poor Lady into the kill-happy ACC due to PERSONAL PROBLEMS and the fact that a NEW MALE CAT was brought into the household, but was not properly introduced to Lady! Lady, very upset by the sudden change in her household, suddenly began experiencing litter box issues. Why didn’t her old owner take her to the vet or make sure to properly introduce the two cats? At home, Lady was a gem: “Around children, Lady is playful. She plays rough sometimes with the children. Around strangers, Lady is shy and fearful. She lived with another cat and with the other cat she plays rough. Lady is litterbox trained. The owner describes her as confident, assertive, and independent.” But Lady is TERRIFIED in the scary shelter, so she was PUNISHED with New Hope Only and fast-tracked to the noon kill list for tomorrow. Please give this sad, scared senior the second chance she deserves! Start RIGHT NOW to apply to foster or adopt betrayed senior LADY from the approved New Hope rescue groups! If you can’t save LADY yourself, please SHARE her sad story and PLEDGE for her rescue!

05/27/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Reaction to assessor: Lady looks tense in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Lady remains crouched down at the back of her cage, alert with eyes wide open. Reaction to touch: Lady does not allow the stroke, swats with claws out, and hisses with ears flat down at the assessor’s hand. Placement determination: NH ONLY Lady is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
