10/16/15 9:36 Basic information: Kitty Luv is a 9 yr. old spayed female domestic short hair mix .The owner surrendered Kitty Luv because she is moving. Oliver Kitty Luv has no health problems and the owner had taken her to a vet in October of 2014. Socialization: The owner states that around strangers Kitty Luv is shy but friendly. Kitty Luv has not been around children but around adults he is prefers to keep to herself. Kitty Luv has never been around dogs or other cats so the owner has no idea how Kitty Luv would react around them. Kitty Luv has never bitten or scratched anyone. Behavior: Kitty Luv has never been bathed had her nails trimmed. She does not mind having his coat brushed, being picked up but struggles when being placed in a cat carrier. For a new family to know: The owner describes Kitty Luv as friendly and playful cat with a medium activity level. Kitty Luv has played with rubber balls and stuffed toys; she lives mostly indoors and sleeps on a cat bed in the living room. In the home Kitty Luv will follow the owner around and prefers to stay in same room as the owner. Kitty Luv eats various brands of dry cat food and is fed once a day. She is litter box trained and uses a covered litter box with clay litter. Kitty Luv was given a scratching post made of carpet to scratch on which she does use. Behavior during intake: During intake Kitty Luv was somewhat tense with stiff body, she allowed us to scan (+) put on collar, photographed and placed in cat kennel.

Kitty Luv’s previous owner states that she is shy around strangers, but is friendly. She has not been around children and prefers to keep to herself. She has not been around dogs or other cats and has never bitten or scratched anyone. She doesn’t mind having her coat brushed or being picked up, but may struggle when placed in a carrier. She was described as friendly and playful with a medium activity level. Reaction to assessor: Kitty Luv was calm and relaxed upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Kitty Luv gets up, comes to the front, and rubs her head against the cage door to solicit attention. Reaction to cage door opening: Kitty Luv remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Kitty Luv remains n place for petting, leans on the assessor’s hand, begins to purr, and head-butts for affection. Reaction when picked up: Kitty Luv becomes tense, but allows handling. Placement Determination: Average Kitty Luv interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
