***SAFE 07/17/2015*** ONCE UPON A TIME…there was a happy family that consisted of 2 cats and a dog and of course, their people. They lived together for many happy years, one big family, and then, one day, suddenly, it changed. Their owner experienced ‘personal problems’ that were so great that these three were brought into ACC, and their their nightmare began. KITTY came into the center with her pals MIA – A1043713 (cat) and CEE CEE – A1043711 (a dog-also at risk tonight!). KITTY has lived with children, and from all accounts, was the perfect girl. She tonight must be wondering how her world has turned upside down so quickly. Tonight-can we work a miracle? Can we all work together and find one person to say ‘YES!’ to all three? CAN we make the miracle happen? KITTY needs you. Cee Cee needs you-and Mia needs you. However, KITTY is the one before her, her life in the balance, a 12 year old cat who could be killed. 07/12/15 14:06hrs BASIC INFORMATION Kitty is a 12 year old female domestic shorthair cat. She lived with her house mates a cat named Mia(A1043713) that is 2 years old and a dog named Cee Cee(A1043711) that is 13 years old. Kitty is a being surrendered because of her a life change that prevents the owner from caring for her. SOCIAL LIFE & PERSONALITY Kitty is described by her owner as a laid back, calm and independent cat. She lived with children that were 5 years old and older. She was tolerant of the children, allowing them to pet her and pick her up. She interacted well with Mia and Cee Cee in the home. She allowed Mia to play with her unless she didn’t want to be bothered. She would also sleep and eat with her as well. She is litter box trained and kept only indoors. BEHAVIOR Kitty has never been bathed nor had her nails trimmed by her owner. She enjoys being combed. When Kitty is frightened by loud sounds, she will hide. FOR A NEW FAMILY TO KNOW Kitty is a reserved and calm cat. She is used to using a hooded litter box. She stays to herself and would follow her owner around if she was hungry. She was fed dry and wet Meow Mix 2x a day. She used a vertical scratching post made of carpet material. Kitty will sleep next to Mia or Cee Cee but prefers to sleep in the bed with her owner.

Kitty’s former owner described her as a laid back, calm and independent cat. She lived with children that were 5 years old and older. She was tolerant of the children, allowing them to pet her and pick her up. She interacted well with Mia and Cee Cee in the home. She allowed Mia to play with her unless she didn’t want to be bothered. Reaction to assessor: Kitty immediately comes soliciting at the front of the cage. Reaction to door opening: Kitty remains at the front of the cage, soft and relaxed, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Kitty rubs on the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: Allows the pickup and remains calm. Placement determination: Beginner Kitty interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
