Not only that. Meow Mix, now 14, was already lucky one time to make it out of the ACC only to find herself back there and her precious life in peril. Meow Mix is purrfectly healthy, spayed, relaxed, affectionate and tolerant of everyone including small children. She is used to living with other cats, has good manners including using her scratching post and likes to sleep with her purrson. This great girl needs a loving home to spend her senior years. If you can help, please reserve her online or contact a NH rescue for help with transportation. Let’s help write a happy ending to marvelous Meow Mix’s sad tale. Won’t you please be her rescue angel?

05/22/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Owner Profile: Meow Mix was bought into the care center by her previous owner due to personal problems. She lived with one female owner and two young children. Meow Mix is relaxed, affectionate and tolerant around everyone in the household. Kitty is litter box trained. Notes: Initially Meow Mix solicits petting and attention, but after a few soft passes over the body she begins to hiss and swat at the assessor. This may be a sign of petting-induced aggression, where repeated physical contact results in discomfort for the cat, or it may be a sign of overstimulation. As a result of this observed behavior we recommend adopters who are familiar with signs of behavioral arousal and agitation in cats, so that interactions can be ended before Meow Mix becomes reactive. Treats should be used to reward appropriate responses to physical attention. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, is calm, relaxed and friendly (1) When spoken quietly: comes to the front of cage, soliciting, rubbing against front (1) Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed (1) Reaction to touch: allows limited petting before moving away from me to avoid being touched followed by hissing/striking Try picking cat up: not tolerant of this type of handling, retreats or hisses. Placement Determination: Experience no child
