6-15-2015 Manhattan
**GONE 06/15/15** Fifteen-year-old KIKA is a perfect pet, in excellent health, who just needs a new place to live. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this GREAT GIRL, but because her former owner moved to new catless digs, Kika found herself at the ACC. This loving, trusting soul deserves to be scooped up in someone’s arms and coddled like a favorite buddy; she does NOT deserve to be harshly killed by a jaded stranger, then thrown into a landfill. Where is everyone who has a willing heart, and just a little bit of house room for this exceptional senior sweetie? Advocate fiercely for KIKA, tonight!

Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Kika’s former owner stated she is very friendly around strangers. She plays very gently with adults. Also, the best way to describe Kika are by saying that she is friendly, affectionate and playful. Also, mentions behavior concerns with scratching the corner of the mattress. She may have some behavioral issues that will need to be addressed in the home. Reaction to assessor: Kika looks neutral in her cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Kika stands with tail up, soliciting attention. Reaction to touch: Kika head-butts the assessor’s hand and appreciates petting on the head and body. However, she began to meow whine when touched along the back and repeatedly spins towards the hand. Also, while retreating the hand she extends her arm and attempts to swat with no claws for the assessor to continue the stroke. Placement determination: Experience / no child Kika solicits attention and tolerates petting but may be assertively demanding of attention. Due to the swats we feel that this cat will do best in a home without children.
