12/12/15 15:54 Basic Information: Kid Tee is a 10 year old altered male domestic shorthair. He was given to owner as a gift as a kitten. Owner surrenders Kid Tee due to landlord issues. Social life and Personality: Kid Tee has not been socialized with children cat or dogs at this stage in his life. He is an indoor cat who is litter trained and he has a high activity level. He is described as being playful, confident, mellow, friendly, assertive, affectionate, and independent. Behavior Issues: Kid Tee will struggle when he is given a bath or picked up and held. He is not bothered when his fur is being brushed, he is being placed inside a carrier, or disturbed from his sleep. He likes to use clay litter in an open litter box. He will also play with balls catnip toys and engage in chasing games. Kid Tee will use a vertical rough rope scratching post and will occassionally scratch furniture as well. He eats dry food once a day and likes meat flavored snacks. He is also nervous when traveling in a car meowing. For New family to new: Kid Tee will follow his owner around the house and stay in the same room with them as well. He likes to sleep on his favorite spot which is the bed or a chair. Upon Intake Behavior: upon intake Kid Tee was hissing, growling, and swating. Limited handling and no collar was put on at this time. He scanned positive for a microchip.

Kid Tee has not been socialized with children, other cats or dogs. He is an indoor cat who is litter trained and he has a high activity level. He is described as being playful, confident, mellow, friendly, affectionate, and independent. Reaction to assessor: Kid Tee does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: Kid Tee does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: Kid Tee becomes alert Reaction to touch: Herbet growls ,strikes and does not allows petting at all Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick up Kid Tee due to fractious behavior Behavior Determination: NewHope Kid Tee seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment he was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He may require further investigation before placement in a home. He currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
