BEHAVIOR
Kicia was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. Please be aware that this cat is unable to see. It is difficult to determine whether this may affect her behavior. She hissed a couple of times during her initial medical exam, but she allowed all handling in spite of being blind.
Reaction to assessor: Kicia was sleeping in her litter box.
Reaction when softly spoken to: Kicia woke up and focuses on the assessor.
Reaction to cage door opening: Kicia flinched when the kennel door opens.
Reaction to touch: Kicia allowed petting but started to hiss when touched on her back. She curled her tail under her body and licked her lips.
Behavior Determination: Experience No Child
Kicia tolerates petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter, and may be intimidated by small children. Due to the behaviors seen in the care center, we feel that this cat will do best in a calm, quiet home with experienced cat parents and without children.
