KEPI – A1052435
Gone 9-28-2015 Brooklyn
***GONE 09/28/15*** KEPI was brought in as a STRAY in a trap cage. So that’s not going to make ANY cat Happy. Add to that being thrown in a small cage with other cats all around in the same room. A person couldn’t deal with that so assessors really need to take those facts into account before branding a cat with a RESCUE ONLY rating! KEPI is in this situation and one SHOULD remember that once decompressed and in a normal home setting, KEPI should be just fine! This 8 year old male needs YOU to contact a New Hope Rescue and offer to FOSTER or ADOPT him! He’s scared! He needs someone to show him love and compassion NOW!!

09/26/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Kepi was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Kepi seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He may require further investigation before placement in a home. Kepi has tried flee and is extremely fearful. He currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: attempts to flee, charges the cage door Reaction to touch: growls, strikes, does not allows petting at all , tries to flee Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick up Kepi due to fractious behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
