I am a male blk tabby and gray domestic sh. The shelter thinks I am about 8 YEARS old.

I came in the shelter as a STRAY on 09/23/2015 from NY 11430, owner surrender reason stated was STRAY. I came in with Group/Litter #K15-033260.

09/24/2015 Exam Type INITIAL – Medical Rating is 2 NC – MINOR CONDITIONS NOT CONTAGIOUS, Behavior Rating is NONE, Weight 9.0 LBS.

Scanned negative BARH – hissed, growled, tried to flee, tried to scratch – 0.1mL Telazol given for exam M~ 8 years Eyes – cloudy, scratches under and around lids – vet confirms Conjunctivitis, Eryc oint given both eyes Ears – heavy ear mite infestation – cleaned with Otic solution, 0.12mL Ivermectin given SQ. Nose clear Mouth – Broken upper left canine with heavy tartar – painful to touch, swollen gums. 0.2mL Bup given per Vet. NOSF

09/26/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY

Notes: Kepi was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. Kepi seems to not be thriving in this environment and at the time of the assessment was displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room. He may require further investigation before placement in a home. Kepi has tried flee and is extremely fearful. He currently does not tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but remains neutral When spoken quietly: does not come to front but remains neutral Reaction to door cage opening: attempts to flee, charges the cage door Reaction to touch: growls, strikes, does not allows petting at all , tries to flee Try picking cat up: did not attempt to pick up Kepi due to fractious behavior Placement Determination: NewHope
