Kendall A1051231 – 9 week male black/white kitten:
scan negative
intact male
approx. 2 mos.
QAR, BCS: 4-5/9
H/L = wnl
mm = pink, moist
mild amount of serosanguinous nasal discharge, unilaterally (left nostril) – wiped away, no further discharge observed
mild anisocoria
large opened dermal laceration with SQ exposure extending over the left dorsomedial elbow region (approx. 2-3 cm in length, 1-2 cm in width)
possible fracture over the elbow and scapula
patient very cooperative with handling and exam
Not interested
A: unilateral epistaxis (mild), laceration, anisocoria – likely secondary to trauma (HBC, fall)
gave 0.06 ml Buprenex (0.5mg/ml) SL – continue BID x 5 days
Gave Augmentin – 0.33 ml PO – continue BID x 10 days
applied 0.5 ml activyl
gave 0.22 ml ponazuril po once
Gave 0.5 ml Panacur po once
cleaned with nolvasan
applied SSD ointment and covered with a telfa pad. wrapped with cast padding, kling, and vet wrap
vet check for tomorrow to assess laceration
radiographs of the LFL reveal a mild to moderate amount of soft tissue swelling, no obvious fractures.
Will inform New Hope of placement needed.
