12/06/15 15:52 Basic information Kemi is a 5 year old spayed white and gray Domestic Medium hair with no known medical conditions. Owner has had Kemi for 5 years and is surrendering because of housing situations. Socialization Kemi was described as Talkative shy and independent with a medium activity level. Kemi hasn’t been socialized with dogs or children but has lived with other cats. Kemi is tolerant and respectful of other cats but does not play much with them. Kemi is an indoor cat and is litter box trained. Behavior Kemi enjoys being brushed but struggles to get away when given a bathe. Kemi allows to be placed in carriers. Kemi has not had her nails trimmed by owner so behavior is not known. Kemi does like to use a scratching post but will scratch on the wall. Kemi also like to scratch any shoes that are left around the house. For the new family to know Kemi enjoys playing with balls strings lasers and stuffed mice. Kemi is uses to both covered and uncovered litter boxes with fresh step crystal litter. When home with Kemi she follows you around while talking to you. Kemi plays somewhat rough with adults. Kemi eats both wet and dry food and prefers fancy feast. When its time for bed Kemi usually likes to sleep in the closet. Behavior during intake During the intake Kemi was quiet. when trying to get Kemi out of the carrier she was frightened and tried to run.

As per previous owner, Kemi hasn’t been socialized with dogs or children but has lived with other cats. Kemi is tolerant and respectful of other cats but does not play much with them. Reaction to assessor: Kemi does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed When spoken quietly: Kemi does not come to front but looks at you calm and relaxed Reaction to door cage opening: Kemi carefully watches the assessor Reaction to touch: Kemi allows petting and attention with a slow approach Try picking cat up: Kemi does not like to be held but will allow it for short periods of time Behavior Determination: Experience At the time of the assessment Kemi was displaying timid behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the assessor, allows attention and tolerates all petting with a slow approach. Kemi is displaying behavior appropriate for experienced cat parents.

S~ 5 years Ears, eyes, nose, mouth/teeth clear Small pimple by right vibrissae Heavily matted along back, on abdomen, near hind legs. Able to shave back, but animal became increasingly agitated. Coat otherwise clean; no flea dirt or parasites noted. TC requested. NOSF
