Owner Profile: Kay Kay was bought into the care center by her previous owner due to housing issues. Kay Kay lived with one adult and other cats. The previous owner said they all got along. It is said that Kay Kay loves to play. She is also litter box trained. Notes: Kay Kay at the time of the assessment was displaying shy behavior, did not come to the front of the kennel but interacts with the Assessor, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. Kay Kay is displaying behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents. Reaction to assessor: does not come to front but looks at you, calmly from under blanket When spoken quietly: does not come to front but looks at you, calmly from under blanket Reaction to door cage opening: remains soft and relaxed Reaction to touch: allows petting and attention Try picking cat up: tolerant of this type of handling. Placement Determination: Average 6/22 update: Kay Kay does not appear to be thriving in the kennel environment.When approached she is pressed against the back of the cage, avoids touch, and may attempt to flee. It is in her best interest to move into a stable home environment as quickly as possible.
