Around other cats Katey is respectful and gives a lot of space to the other cat. Katey has been kept mostly indoors and has a low activity level. Katey’s previous owner describes her as aloof, shy, friendly, and quiet. Katey likes to play with string and catnip toys. At home Katey will follow you around and plays gently with you.” Katey has fastidious litter box and scratching post manners, too! She rocked a rare-but-perfect BEGINNER behavior rating for her “FRIENDLY” demeanor and her happy PURRS! 07/09/15 18:57 Basic Information: Katey is a two year old cat who was surrendered due to her previous owner relocating to a place where pets are not allowed. Social Life and Personality: Katey has been around children 1 year and older and is respectful of them. When Katey plays with children she is very gentle. Around other cats Katey is respectful and gives a lot of space to the other cat. Katey has not had any experiences with dogs so it is unknown how she will react. Katey seems to be litter box trained, her previous owner has not witness her having any accidents. Katey has been kept mostly indoors and has a low activity level. Katey’s previous owner describes her as Aloof, shy, friendly, and quiet. Behavior Issues: Katey has never bitten another person or animal. Katey is not bothered by anyone giving her a bath, brushing her coat holding her, putting her in a carrier or disturbing her while she is sleeping. Katey is afraid of others trimming her nails. For a New Family to Know: Katey uses clumping and crystal litter in an uncovered litter box. Katey likes to play with string and catnip toys. Katey likes to use a scratching post made of carpet. At home Katey will follow you around and plays gently with you. When Katey rides in a car she usually falls asleep or is relaxed. Katey eats both wet and dry food with an open bowl. Intake Behavior: Katey was a bit nervous during intake but allowed handling. Katey allowed staff to collar, scan and take pictures of her with no signs of aggression.

Reaction to assessor: Katey was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. When softly spoken to, she attempts to sniff the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Katey remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Katey leans on the assessor’s hand and begins to purr. Reaction to being picked up: Katey remains soft and allows handling. As per previous owner, Katey is respectful and plays very gently around children. She is also respectful and gives a lot of space around other cats. Katey has been kept mostly indoors and has a low activity level. They describe her as aloof, shy, friendly, and quiet. Behavior Determination: Beginner Vickie interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. No known history of behavioral problems. This cat can go to a beginner home.
