JUICY – A1047432

8-21-2015 Brooklyn

Previous | Next

***GONE 08/21/15*** 4 MONTH OLD KITTEN JUICY IS THE SECOND OF TWO KITTENS TO MAKE THE EUTH LIST – SHE NEEDS A RESCUE ANGEL TONIGHT TO HELP HER OUT OF THE SHELTER AND INTO A HOME! JUICY was brought into the shelter as a stray kitten along with sibling Josy A1047431 whose status is unknown after being on last night’s euth list. JUICY is a timid little girl who allowed some petting and handling but needs a person with some patience and cat whispering skills to coax her out of her shell and help her relax. Kittens are very adaptable and JUICY will most likely be just fine once in a safe and loving home. She caught the shelter cold, and now is fighting to stay alive. YOU CAN HELP HER BY OFFERING TO FOSTER OR ADOPT TONIGHT! FOSTERING WILL SAVE HER LIFE AND THE RESCUE WILL HANDLE THE VETTING. GIVE JUICY A DEATH ROW PARDON NOW BY CONTACTING A RESCUE TO PULL HER TO SAFETY. SHE DESERVES A HAPPY ENDING TO HER STORY.

08/10/15 19:18 Litter Mate : Josy : A1047431 Juicy : A1047432 Juicy and her litter mate are stray cats that were brought into ACC today. Juicy is a gray and white female cat who was initially nervous when she came into ACC today. Juicy allowed herself to be transferred into a new carrier but would stay in the back of the carrier and would hiss when an attempt was made to place a collar around her neck. Juicy did allow herself to be photographed inside of the carrier but did not appear comfortable when any attempt was made to handle her.

08/19/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – EXPNOCHILD
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Notes: Juicy was brought to the care center as a stray so we don’t have any behavioral history or tendencies previous to what we are seeing during the evaluation. At the time of the assessment she was displaying fearful behavior, does not seek attention from the assessor and becomes alert when the kennel was open. Retreats as I started to get closer. I was able to pet her and interact with her in a very limited way. I did not attempt to pick her up in fear that she might flee. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents with no children. Reaction to assessor: hiding in cat den When spoken quietly: hiding in cat den Reaction to door cage opening: appears fearful Reaction to touch: allows limited petting with a slow approach Try picking cat up: did not attempt, might attempt to flee Placement Determination: Experience no child
