***GONE 08/20/15*** JOSY AND HER LITTERMATE WERE BROUGHT INTO THE SHELTER AS STRAYS – NOW DESPITE NOT HAVING A COLD, THEY WILL KILL JOSY AT NOON THURSDAY!! JOSY is a 7 month old kitten who came in with her sibling named JUICY. JOSY is obviously a bit frightened after all this but she did allow all petting and handling and got herself an EXPERIENCE rating. She will certainly relax and warm up once she is in a safe, secure home. But the ACC won’t give this kitten a chance! JOSY needs you to save her life by NOON if she is going to be able to live to see another day. Her littermate JUICY A1047432 is not listed tonight but it would be even more wonderful if she would be pulled with her sibling. 08/10/15 19:18 Litter Mate : Josy : A1047431 Juicy : A1047432 Josy and her litter mate are stray cats that were brought into ACC today. Josy is a female black and white cat who was nervous and slightly difficult to handle. Josy fled her carrier and became reactive hissing and hiding in fear when she was initially being handled. Josy did calm down and allowed herself to be photographed after she was placed inside of her carrier. Josy did meow as a show of nervousness and also stayed toward the back of her carrier.

Reaction to Assessor: Josy was at the back of the cage with her eyes half closed. She remains neutral and looks at the assessor when softly spoken to. Reaction to cage door opening: Josy remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Josy was hesitant of touch, but remains immobile and allows stroke on her head and back. Behavior Determination: Experience Josy tolerates attention and petting but may be fearful or stressed in the shelter. She may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to her new home. We recommend that this cat go to a home with experienced cat parents.
