The finder has been caring for her for the last two weeks but cannot keep her. Josie is very friendly. Behavior during intake Josie was quiet and alert. She allowed to be carried out of her box and positioned for pictures. She allowed to be scanned(-) and collared and tolerated all petting. She is friendly.

Josie was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous owner. She approached the finder and allowed all handling. The finder has been caring for her for the last two weeks but cannot keep her. They describe Josie as very friendly. Reaction to assessor: Josie was calm, relaxed, and friendly upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Josie comes to the front and attempts to sniff the assessor. Reaction to cage door opening: Josie remains soft and relaxed. Reaction to touch: Josie leans on the assessor, begins to purr, and lightly head-butts. Reaction to being picked up: Josie remains calm and nuzzles into the assessor’s arms. Behavior Determination: Beginner Josie interacts with the Assessor, solicits attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat can go to a beginner home.
