***SAFE 10/18/15*** LEFT WITH A NEIGHBOR TO WATCH TEMPORARILY- HIS OWNER NEVER RETURNED FOR HIM AND NOW JOE FLACCO IS GOING TO BE KILLED AT NOON FRIDAY BECAUSE HE HAS NO HOME! JOE FLACCO was brought in as a stray – his owner left him with a neighbor but never came back for his cat. JOE was said to have lived with another cat and a dog and was tolerant of them. He was brought in here due to the person watching him having allergies. JOE FLACCO needs to get over his cold and someone to let him have that chance. He is a neutered boy about 5 years old. 09/28/15 10:25 Basic Information Joe Flacco was brought in as a stray. Client was temporarily watching him but his owner never came for him. While with her Joe Flacco lived with another male cat and a pug as well. She says the cats were tolerant but distant with each other, and he and her pug would sometimes socialize with each other. She described Joe as aloof, saying he often likes to stick to himself and do his own thing. Joe Flacco was fed dry food, and client says he is perfect with the litter box. Behavior during Intake Joe Flacco was initially tense during intake. He had dilated pupils while in his carrier. Once let out he relaxed some and accepted food. Joe Flacco allowed all handling, and showed no aggression during intake.

While with her Joe Flacco lived with another male cat and a pug as well. She says the cats were tolerant, but distant with each other, and he and her pug would sometimes socialize with each other. She described Joe as aloof, saying he often likes to stick to himself and do his own thing. Reaction to assessor: Joe looks neutral in his cage when approached by the assessor. Reaction to door opening: Joe remains sitting upright by the front of the cage, alert with relaxed face. Reaction to touch: Joe head-butts the assessor’s hand, purrs in place, and appreciates petting on the head and body. Reaction to Being Picked up: He calmly jumps bak into his cage. Placement determination: Average Joe Flaco interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. This cat is showing behavior appropriate for new or experienced cat parents.
