***GONE 12/31/15***PERFECTLY HEALTHY KITTEN JODY IS AFRAID AFTER BEING CAUGHT AND DUMPED IN THE ACC – GIVE THIS KITTEN A NEW YEAR PARDON TONIGHT! JODY is only 7 months old and was minding her own business when someone trapped her and brought her in the ACC. JODY is afraid although not aggressive. She jumped when the assessor’s fake hand touched her and tried to flee. Sadly, this poor girl needs time to relax and get used to people’s touch, but the ACC won’t let her have that. They plan on ending her short life at NOON on New Year’s eve. How about offering to foster this ebony pantherette instead, so she can live and have a happy new year? CONTACT A RESCUE TO PULL THIS HEALTHY BUT NEW HOPE RATED KITTEN OUT OF THE CLAWS OF THE ACC AND INTO A SAFE LOVING HOME!!

12/30/2015 BEHAVIOR EVALUATION – NH ONLY
Exam Type BEHAVIOR
Jody was brought in as a stray, so we cannot speak to her behavior in her previous home. She had dilated eyes and attempted to flee when handled during intake. She retreated to the back when transferred to another carrier. She was very fearful during her initial medical exam, and would try to scratch in an attempt to flee. Reaction to assessor: Jody becomes stiff and alert upon approach. Reaction when softly spoken to: Jody focuses on the assessor with dilated eyes. Reaction to cage door opening: Jody remains motionless. Reaction to touch: Jody is very tense and focuses on the assessor’s hand. She jumps up when touched gently and she hisses and attempts to flee from the cage. Behavior Determination: New Hope Only Jody is displaying behaviors that preclude placement in the adoptions room and/or may require further investigation before placement in a home. She is extremely fearful in the shelter environment and does not currently tolerate petting or handling. The behavior department feels that placement with a New Hope Partner is the best option at this time.
